BIO CAMPUS PROJECT BIO CAMPUS is the management project of the Municipal Camping-Site “Montequestiolo” located at Rosola di Zocca, Modena. It aims at protecting and enriching a venue with its specific natural and cultural environment by promoting conscious tourist activities: nature and culture hand in hand as a winning solution for a holiday rich of significance. Hence the commitment to organise the nutritional aspect above all, with certified organic products recalling the know-how handed down through generations, where hands still are the indispensable tools for survival and not merely articular mechanisms between one bip and another. Hence the preparation of the seed-bed, the organic kitchen garden, the manure-heap and the differential collection of all waste material. Ecological detergents are utilized thus avoiding the easy solutions proposed by the market, which are often more detrimental than beneficial. Special attention is constantly paid to a conscious use of everyday resources: electricity, water and heating gas available on scheduled hours thanks to timed thermostats, always keeping an eye on that huge resource which is the silence, a crushproof mirror of the soul of everybody. Hence the conscious choice, difficult yet necessary, to build moments of re-appropriation of fantasy and creativity through the organisation of expression laboratories, theatre plays and ballets, concerts and painting exhibitions, movies and documentaries projections, conferences and seminars on the major topical subjects - such as energy saving, environmental protection, a global vision of the world, multi-culture, the education to the culture of peace and the respect of diversities, in any form – as well as the setting of an information point with library and media facilities open to everybody and free of charge. BIO CAMPUS with its constant thought to children, to teach them the sense of nature, the respect of natural resources and the cohabitation with the others, the other generations above all, by experiencing “green weeks” full of creative activities. Furthermore, in this stimulating path to consciousness, it is a first-priority commitment of the project’s organisers to arouse a higher sensitivity vis-à-vis the others, with special attention to those who are in difficulty but yet wish and deserve a serene hospitality under the same conditions. BIO CAMPUS is a utopia to realize in a constant change, like the eternal dance of the cosmos called in the ancient Indian language JAGAT. |
